while i was looking into plushes with magnets in them to see if my idea would be somewhat feasible i discovered there's plushes that you can scatter into smithereens - the body parts attach magnetically to each other - so if you have multiple you can reconstitute them into abominations

Honda Civic Van Custom, 1977. The long-roof version of the first generation Civic was sold as a van in Japan because commercial vehicles enjoyed a lower tax rate than passenger cars. They still had rear seats (that folded) but they carried a 400kg weight rating on the tailgate which was required to qualify for the tax break.

I started this about a year and a half ago as an outlet during a rather rough time, and I must say, I am very proud of how far I've come since then, as a builder, content creator and as a general human. Thinking a lot about how the devs basically said there is no conflict in the team or between historically opposed people in Thedas in this game because "the stakes are too high, everyone has to work together." When the stakes are very very similar to Inquisitions?? Albeit we as a player know it's "real" this time. The big one.

But correct me if I'm wrong here (I'm not) the previous antagonist was a blighted OP mage with a knock off Archdemon trying to tear down the veil and ascend to godhood? And we are currently trying to *checks notes* defeat a blighted OP mage with an Archdemon trying to fuck up the veil and ascend to godhood? Oh sorry. Two.

Yes, the Blight. But it's hardly as though there weren't Blight concerns in Inquisition. Adamant, anyone?

Anyways, my point being is that the characters of Inquisition have no reason to see the stakes of that story as any less dire than the characters of Veilgaurd. And bless their hearts, those kids have Issues™️. They're all in on petty conflict. That was part of the genius, that the stakes were so high these deeply different people had to find a way to work together despite butting heads.

And the rest of the world didn't suddenly forget it's drama as well? Halamshiral's underlying elven rebellion. Orlesian civil war. The Mages vs the Templars. Chantry infighting. Seeker infighting. Tranquility. They didn't all go, "wait! there's a hole in the sky! we should put aside hundreds of years of systemic issues in the name of togetherness." Excluding the Inquisition that is.

Okay, Blight. Let's talk about the Blight. The Fifth one. You have the most rag tag group thrown together to stop the spread. This is literally the game that founded the series. Its defining features were political conflict. The king was betrayed! In a battle against Darkspawn! During a Blight! What a time to not stand as a united front, Loghain. In your own party, you're trying desperately to prevent Morrigan from emotionally assasinating Alistair. Oh! More conflict. While we are here, let's murder her mom real quick because *checks notes* Blights are when we all come together to hold hands.

If you play as an elf, you're putting up with human nonsense. If you play as a mage, you put up with mage nonsense. If you play as a woman- oh boy. I would make the argument that the realness of that setting, the way it highlighted human nature's best and worst qualities- is why it sunk it's claws into so many fans hearts.

It just.... whatever they've got going in Veilgaurd on only works for a YA novel. Which Dragon Age has never tried to be before. And, frankly, is a weird thing for it to aim for.

aftg au where bee adopted andrew and later aaron when they were teens. she owns an apple orchard that the twins and occasionally a few of the foxes help run but it's almost harvest season and she needs help prepping everything for the town's fall festivals so she decided to put up a help wanted ad. neil, tired, alone, and running out of options, decides to apply. bee let's him use the renovated barn loft as residence when she learns he's homeless. andrew is wary, his family means everything to him and neil is a flightly little thing that could only bring bad news, but something about neil is familiar. maybe it's how he checks all his exits or how he flinches when people touch him or how he cradles the key bee gave him in his palm like it was a treasure instead of a piece of metal. he asks neil for truths and it's like bleeding a rock but he finds neil is more willing when truth is reciprocated. they spend their days walking down the lines of apple trees, harvesting and talking, and andrew is only a little mesmerized with the way neil's auburn curls blend with the red of the apples and his eyes match the sky like something deliberate, like he was meant to be here. andrew thinks that maybe he doesn't hate how neil looks at him like he's worth something. andrew thinks that maybe he doesn't want to lose this. he's still learning how to accept that not everything is transactional, he doesn't need to make deals to keep people close, hes still figuring out how to want things without the fear of them being snatched away. his mind screams at him to turn away and push any feeling aside but then neil is handing him an apple and smiling and telling him stories he says he's never told anyone else and andrew doesn't think he deserves this but he wants it

Palia Physical Card Game - Interest Check

When my friend said "Man, I wish there was a physical card game for Hot Pot" I sat there and said... I can do that. And so I did!

I redrew every card (Yes, this is my own art, I did not trace or anything, I just stared at the game art and got drawing) including the back. With all that hard work I figured, why does it only have to be for my friends and I? So I am seeing if anyone would be interested in buying a deck of cards! They would come with: A full, 94-Card deck (4 of each card as per gameplay) A box for keeping it in A how-to-play booklet for your non-palia friends to learn how to play too! They would cost about $50usd, and depending may incur additional shipping costs.

Recaro Mystere, 1977. The seat-maker's Australian subsidiary had ambitions to go into car making and built this prototype coupé based on a Holden Torana LX Hatchback redesigned by Peter Arcardipane. It used Holden's 5.0 litre V8 with the interior made-over using Recaro seats. It was presented at the Sydney Motor Show with plans for a limited production run but remained a one-off as Recaro's management changed and Holden stopped making V8 Toranas.
